This excerpt was written nine years back but it’s still relative. On the eve of Christmas in 1999 (24th Dec, 1999) terrorists hijacked a plane and in a similar manner on 26th November, 2008 they’ve captured Mumbai, still there has been no action. Day isn’t very far when these anti-social elements will engulf the entire country.

A very happy and prosperous New Year to all of you. May this New Year, new century, new millennium fulfill all your wishes and wishing that peace, harmony and joy be with you forever.
Dear brothers and sisters, our beloved motherland is facing the worst of all crisis, with our citizens being held hostage by terrorists. They did not just hijack a plane, they hijacked our personal freedom and integrity, they are holding our entire system hostage. However, we were all relieved when the government acted quickly and our people came back to us after 8 days of mental, emotional and physical torture. We lost one of our young men, to bring back the rest. To bring them home we had to pay a very heavy price!
We were helpless in the face of their demands and believe me, anyone, any government, steeped in such a situation, would have reacted in the same way. For the last 15 years we have been trying to combat this chronic and lethal problem. However, till now we have not been able to prevent terrorists from targeting our country.
Our veer jawans have sacrificed their lives for the motherland. And now
we stand exposed in front of the world ,vulnerable and weak, because we
always declared that we are peace loving people. But when peace emerges out of sheer helplessness and ineffectiveness then perhaps it is not peace rather an act of cowardice. When a powerful nation like the U.S. talks about peace it is convincing, but when we wax eloquent about peace, it sounds hollow and useless because at the end of the day there is nothing we can actually do.
We are alone. No one helped us out of the crisis and now we know the writing on the wall. It says, protect your self! Our politicians are only interested in power and the perks associated with power. Most of them are self centered rogues, who cannot think beyond their own selfish interests (read: the vote bank). For some months now security at all airports will be beefed up but as time will pass, the same lapses will take place till the day we are faced again with a similar crisis.
However, I will say don’t worry friends, the conspiracy has been well planned by the enemies and next they might target our railways and buses, small children and public places, the list is long but still we can stop them. To stop them we have to come out of the mask of peace that we have left on for long. We have to unite together, be active and aggressive and present a united and mighty front to the enemy.
Why play the blame game over and over again by naming Pakistan or the Taliban? We know who our enemies are and we must applaud them for living up to the expectations we had of them. They succeeded because we failed to chart out our priorities. And in our list of priorities our beloved motherland comes quite towards the bottom. However, we all wear the façade of patriotism and claim ‘WE ARE PROUD OF BEING INDIANS’ or some such insignificant words. We don’t need words anymore, we need action.
We are on our own and to protect our nation we have to unite together. There are no friends and no scope for Indians anywhere in the world and so all we are left with now is the option to strike back in order to protect our pride and our beloved motherland.
There is a tremendous need to review our law and system, who is inactive? Why should tax-payers money be used to feed these terrorists? Why not prosecute them instantly?
There are so many avenues which should undergo radical change. I have contemplated a lot on this matter for a long time and the only goal of my life is to give meaning to my existence in terms of serving my motherland.
I am not a politician or an artist or an officer or a policy maker but I feel responsible for my motherland.
Those who are interested can contact me for my various suggestions and analysis in terms of economical and political and socio religious conditions of our beloved motherland and how to protect ourselves, not only from enemies but also from our own people who are not ready to do anything but serving their self interests, greed and lust.
So let us prove to the world that though we are alone, we still exist and we will survive with dignity and grace.
LET US UNITE AND PROVE THAT THE BLOOD OF THE NATION FLOWS IN OUR VEINS AND THE BLOOD FLOWS IN THE VEINS OF OUR NATION TOO.
